The SXT1000 XL EEC facelift is the result of continuous development of this model series. The successor models probably most significant change is the installed high-torque brushless hub motor with 1350 W max. power. The advantages of the brushless hub motor are obvious - virtually no maintenance required - no chain that needs to be lubricated, no chain tension that needs to be checked, no loud chain rattling and all that at the same time with much higher efficiency through more efficient conversion of electrical energy in kinetic energy. This results in a larger range than the previous model with chain drive.

The new features of the SXT1000 XL EEC - Facelift model are:

The SXT1000 XL EEC in the facelift version has been EC type approved according to the new guideline 168/2013 and is accordingly approved for road traffic throughout Europe. Another innovation is the newly designed license plate holder with license plate illumination and at the same time back and brake light function. On the handlebar, a new cable management was installed, through which all cables and lines are cleanly fixed.

The speedometer as well as the driving distance can be read via the speedometer, which is now supplied directly by the vehicle's power supply and receives the data for displaying the speed directly from the engine via the control unit, which results in very accurate values. Another new feature installed is the cruise control which keeps the speed constant as soon as the driver drives the same speed for about 8 seconds. Same as with known from cars, the cruise control is deactivated by speed changes, ie acceleration or braking.

Proven things remain unchanged - such as the disc brake system front and rear and also the Click & Lock system of the seat post, which can be quickly and easily removed by foot lever from the vehicle and safely and firmly plugged within seconds. The acceleration takes place by means of a twist grip - also attached to the handlebars are the two rearview mirrors, as well as the ignition lock and the control of the horn and 12 V LED lighting system.

The 48V battery is still located under the footboard, which contributes so due to its low position to a very good and stable roadholding. The battery itself is on the one hand externally rechargeable and on the other exchangeable and can be replaced with lithium batteries, which we also offer. The advantages of lithium batteries lie in the much higher energy density, which manifests itself in the much greater range. Another major advantage of lithium batteries is the approximately half the weight, and the much longer life with appropriate care.

Now many think everything good and beautiful, but are deterred by the price of lithium batteries immediately - this is to say that these batteries are only supposedly more expensive. As soon as you look at it though, it is important to compare the number of charge cycles of both batteries. With the standard lead acid battery, the number of charge cycles is about 250 (ie the battery can be fully recharged up to about 250 times until it has to be replaced with a new one) - while the lithium battery is such that it can withstand up to 1500 charging cycles , If you look closely, the result of this comparison is as follows:

Lead-acid battery 12Ah:
250 charging cycles x 30 km range = 7.500 km total mileage

Lithium battery LiFePo4 20Ah:
1,200 charge cycles x 45 km range per charge = 54.000 km total mileage

Lithium battery 30Ah Li-ion:
1,500 charge cycles x 65 km range per charge = 97.500 km total mileage

Comparing this total mileage with each other, this looks as follows: 54.000: 7.500 = 7.2 times higher yield with the LiFePo4 lithium battery at not twice the price - as a result, the lithium battery over the life expectancy is much cheaper than the lead-acid battery technology. When compared with the Li-Ion battery, the difference becomes even clearer.

IMPORTANT: This scooter model is EEC certified meaning street-legal in whole Europe. Inside Germany there is a driving license required - from 15 years with a mofa test certificate or from 16 years with driving license class A1, AM; from 18 years with each driving license of classes 1a, 1, 2, 3, A, B or C. Should you be located outside Germany please check your national rules and regulations in regards to required driving licenses.

Due to packaging reasons the delivery will contain the scooter 95% partially assembled. Usual build up time will be around 60 minutes skill based.

SXT1000 XL EEC - Facelift - FAQs

The durability of the batteries is highly dependent on the care and maintenance as well as the type of battery per se. The life time of a battery is not indicated in months or years but in number of charging cycles. Lead-acid batteries usually have a life span of about 200-250 charge cycles. Lithium batteries depends on the lithium type (LiFePo4 or Li (NiCoMn) O2) have a life expectancy of 1200-1800 charging cycles and are therefore when compared properly over the lifetime even the cheaper battery type and not just more expensive than lead-acid batteries as many believe.
Brake pads wear out during use. All disc brakes always have an inner and an outer brake pad. The inner one (towards the wheel) is always fixed, while the outer one can move back and forth. After a certain time, the inner lining must therefore be readjusted and slightly adjusted towards the brake disc in order to ensure an even and safe braking process again. To do this, readjust the large adjusting screw on the inside of the brake calliper accordingly. It is also possible that the brake pads have reached their run-off / wear limit and need to be replaced with new ones. On vehicles with drum brakes, you can readjust them using the Bowden cable and the locking screw.
For safety reasons, the lithium batteries in this model can only be charged directly on the connection cable on the battery itself. The charging socket on the side of the vehicle frame does not work in conjunction with our lithium batteries.
Charging only works if the fuse is correctly inserted in the fuse holder on the cabling of the battery. Another reason can be incorrect and / or interrupted cabling between the individual battery cells.
As a rule, the fault here is that a plug is loose somewhere or that it fails due to a loose connection. Something small that is preventing the scooter from flowing electricity in all the major parts. For example, it can also be due to a missing blade fuse / not activated main fuse. The scooter is activated, i.e. the front light lights up, the LEDs light up but the engine does not turn: 1. The side stand must be raised for the throttle to work. 2. The plug connections on the control unit must be checked here. Unplug individually and reconnect. Also check the wiring from the throttle grip - this is the cable from the throttle grip come follow and check.
The side stand must be up for the scooter to drive off. It can happen that the mechanism on the side stand does not work. This must then be replaced so that the scooter works again.
Please adjust the brake calipers using the two adjusting screws. This is a normal process in the course of wear.
In this case your ignition lock is defective; this has the function of giving the control unit the “command” to switch the scooter off or on. Please replace the ignition lock or contact our customer service.
The rims can be divided into two parts. Please remove the necessary screws and take one part to the left and the other to the right in order to be able to change the tire quickly and easily. When assembling the rim/s, please pay attention to fixing points, such as valve recesses.
First make sure that the saddle is firmly mounted on the seat post. Also make sure that the quick-release for adjusting the saddle height is also firmly tightened. Press the release lever with one foot and turn the top of the saddle to the left and right with both hands and pull it out upwards together with the seat post.
Readjust the steering head bearing.
